Pension La Gaviota

La Gaviota is only recognizable by a small sign hanging above the door of a business that appears to be closed. The door may be locked, but press the doorbell and it will open to a stairway to the lounge.

The name means seagull in Spanish, which also happens to be the name of a local rock band that was popular in Costa Rica during the 1980’s. It’s possible that some of these girls have been working for a couple decades, but reports indicate that its worth an occasional look.

The rate for a half hour of full service is about $15.

The location is just a block south of Camerun and opposite La Masion II on Calle 4 in the Parque Central section of San Jose.
