Lipstick has always attracted some of the best talent to the downtown San Jose area, however be warned your mileage can really vary here.

The club is in the same building as the Krysis Spa, which has its entrance around the corner. The Spa however is open from noon to 6pm, and the club doesn’t open until 9pm. You can also expect to pay under $40 for sex at the spa, however you are more likely to drop at least $200 at the club for the same thing.

The bottom line is that Lipstick is perhaps a bit of a clip joint, and you might be better off going to a place like Club Monoco or Le Grillion to see nude dancers and have sex in the back room.

Your only chance for being able to get a good or even fair deal at Lipstick is to speak Spanish and ask the right questions. You can sit at the bar and deal directly with the bartender for your drinks. Don’t look for a seat on one of the comfortable couches until you find a waiter that you think you can deal with.

Never run a tab at this place as many a customer has been surprised by a $200 or $300 bar bill and then surrounded by thugs when unable to pay. Using a credit card here is just out of the question.

Sometimes its just a nice place to sit at the bar, enjoy the show, and chat up the girls. Some of the dancers are from out of town and brought to San Jose to work and if necessary live at the club. Many of the girls are receptive to a date outside the club, and this is known by many an expatriate with the time and patience to get cell phone numbers.

Lipstick is located on the Barrio Amon Map, and is just around the corner from Alcasar Night Club and not far from Pension Flamingo and VIPS Taberna.
