The worldwide economic slump is obviously taking a toll on Costa Rica, and it is painfully obvious that each "low season" seems to bring fewer single male tourists to the Gringo Gulch than in previous years.
The trick to exploiting the situation is to Negotiate and bargain for what your really want. Do not hesitate to impose your demands and be willing to walk away if neither the goods or the attitude are to your liking.
The Bargirls at the Del Rey are always looking for that new tourist, ask for $100 and provide little value in return.
Remember the girls will take advantage of you every time if they can, so you need to be in charge. The rainy season is when you can requires those special "extras".

You might also sleep through the evening and start refreshed around midnight to find the really good deals.

Why would you want to take advantage of "a single mother that provides primary support for her family"
These girls are providing a service. If you pay 50.00 bucks @ a MP or 100.00 at the del ray , I'd say you got a deal. If you are broke stay home until you save enough funds to behave like a human.

Maybe youve been lucky... Your odds of being treated fairly are nill. In the flesh game its take advantage the situtation or be taken advantage of.. Have you ever got laid for free or because some hooker just likes you? This is a business. When there are plenty of tourist in Costa Rica and they can pick and choose, watch how quick they walk away from you right on to the next guy when your money isnt right. The saddest thing you can do is to think one of these ladies really likes you. Believe me Ive tried that. Im not saying treat them cruel but do as your heart says and your pocket will suffer. Why pay top dollar for anything when if you wait you can get it for half price. Next time youre in CR try and negociate with some fine Colombian who wants $100, she wont bulge because theirs 100 drunk tourist smiling at her silicone tits and ass.
